This Lake House is ready to welcome you with a big hug! She's got a fireplace burning, a big family kitchen and views of Lake Yale that you can just lose yourself in all day. Her cozy living room and immense windows allow you to take it all in. If you want to venture outside, the deck and hot tub are right there. A little jaunt down a light decline, and you can wander across the evergreen tree framed lawn to the pathways to the lake.
The Living Room will be our central place for rituals and ceremonies. Our main altar, laying on yoga mats while cacooned in sacred words of rebirthing, singing bowls, the energies moving, you becoming, mmm.
The fire will hold us steady, and burn what we need to release and transmute.
The kitchen is a large family friendly kitchen, simply made to create a feast for a group! Especially this gathering of women who are nurturing new layers of themselves.
3 guest bedrooms--all on the 2nd flood
2 full guest bathrooms--one on the main floor and one on the 2nd floor
Slumber Party Room anyone? Most attendees will get the intimate experience of sisterhood in the Slumber party room, a large game room. We will be glamming it up in our special way to make it both sacred, and give each person a smidge more privacy while in bed. We're going way back to childhood, as these beds are mattresses on the floor, some queens, some singles. This room will probably have 6 women in it.
There are 3 guest bedrooms with either a queen or a double bed in them. If you have a medical need, or some other circumestance where you feel a bedroom will be needed for you, please reach out to us and let us know. Examples would be you cannot get on the floor or up from the floor, sleep apnia, etc. Please, advocate for your needs. We do want everyone to have healthy sleep. Also, if you are attending with a BFF or relative and would be fine sharing a queen bed, please also let us know. We will do our best to ensure those who need the private bed rooms, elevated beds, etc receive them.
In addition to the 2nd floor having the Slumber party room, 3 guest bedrooms and a bathroom, there is also a loft room. It has a cozy atmosphere when you need to get away from the crowd, either for some journaling, integrating your experiences or an intimate conversation.
There will also be additional altars upstairs for you to connect to and use, either in bedrooms and the slumber party room, or simply a communal one in the loft area.
Reminders about the house:
This is not an Air BNB or a vacation rental home. It's a friend's vacation home, which they are lovinly allowing us to use for this sacred retreat. This means the home is not depersoanlized like a vacation rental--think items in bathrooms draws, their personalized style around the home rather than decorating for the genral public and--This One Is a Bonus--The House Feels Lived in and Loved!
Accessibility:
There are 3-4 stairs to get into the front door of the home. There is no path from the driveway to the front door, which I think is about 10 feet, it is just grass. There is a bathroom on the main floor. Most of our experiences are indoors, save for our Saturday sunrise walk in the forrest. There is a downward slope on dirt to get into the yard to go on the walk. The rest is flat, but the forrest path has small branches underfoot and general debris you have to pay attention to. If you have additional questions or have specific needs, please reach out to us so we can be accommodating. [email protected]
If you have registered with pay half now, half later, the second installment of your payment is due by Jan 1.

Attending an event led by Vanessa was transformative and felt like play! Reflecting on the experience now, I see a direct correlation to the ease I feel in parts of my life today. Engaging in processes of discovery and revelation; I have a stronger connection to self, to those I call mine, and my expansive purpose in this world! Thank you Vanessa for creating the space to share in joy and leadership.

I've had the absolute pleasure of attending multiple retreats organized by Vanessa. I love the balance she creates of reflective calm, creativity, and sidesplitting laughter. The memories I've made, and lessons I learned with her stick firmly in my heart. She allows space for us to be vulnerable and feel safe and cared for in ways that feel so natural and let me feel grounded in the moment.
